Risks & open questions

4 open
HIGH

1D barcodes are not supported yet

jsQR only reads QR codes. Most PH retail SKUs use EAN-13 or UPC-A, so add a 1D decoder before POS pilots.

HIGH

Write routes have no authentication

Anyone who can reach the API can upload, edit, approve or delete records. Auth is the main pre-launch blocker.

MED

Background removal downloads a model on first use

Keep the original-image fallback and warm the model cache during deployment so the first upload is not slow.

MED

Seed data still needs manual verification

SRP and net weight should be checked against shelf labels before the dataset is called production-ready.
