The Japan Football Association controlled by one man named jinpachi ego recruits a group of high school soccer players to participate in a program called "Blue Lock" after their disappointing performance in the World Cup. The program's goal is to create a new generation of strikers with the skills, mentality, and "ego". The program's coach, Ego Jinpachi, isolates the players in a prison-like facility and puts them through intense training. The players are pitted against each other in a series of competitions to determine who will become the best striker.
I like this anime because of how serious and complicated they make the sport of soccer. Every scene they make it exagerated and make it seem like there life depends on making this goal. Another thing I like about it is the character development ecspecially with the main character "Yoichi Isagi". When he first got to blue lock he was ranked one of the worst but at the end of the anime right now hes known as one of the best and scored the winning goal against a pro team
