2020 was a very difficult year for all of us, due to a lot of restrictions in our personal and business life caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
But business
wise, 2020 was a very successful year for the SUSS group!
WE achieved an order entry of EUR 281 million which is the all time high in SUSS history. In Q2‘2020 we also
achieved the highest ever order entry in one quarter with > EUR 93 million. This marks another major step towards our goal of EUR 400 million targeted for 2025.
Thanks
& congratulations to all of you for this great achievement.
Let’s use this momentum to continue this success story in 2021 as our markets are currently forecasting a
continued dynamic growth also for 2021 & 2022. January started well and the outlook for Q1‘2021 and the entire year 2021 is very positive.

A new generation of the CIC1200 Constant Intensity Controller for Exposure Lamps is available effective immediately.
Please note that
there are slight changes in the usage of the device.
Also the price had to be adjusted accordingly. An update of the user manual is in progress and

| End-of-Life FujiFilm DMC Cartridges |
|
|
|
|
| The FujiFilm DMC cartridges have been declared obsolete by the manufacturer. A new version cartridge is planned to be available in 2021.
Specifications of the new cartridges are not yet available from the manufacturer and therefore the DMC configuration for the LP50 inkjet printer can’t be offered
at this moment. Until the new DMC cartridge design can be offered, we propose the FujiFilm S-Class print head configuration as an alternative. |

While these print heads are more expensive, they are much more robust and can be reused often. This allows for cheaper operational costs than the DMC configuration in the long
term. The downside is that the print head has a larger minimum droplet size. 30pL vs the 10pL DMC cartridge. As an alternative the KM512 4pL or 14pL version can be offered if
very fine feature size is the most important requirement.
We will share the release date and prices of the new DMC print head configuration once it has been developed
by our engineering team. For all current customers an upgrade plan and prices will be communicated via service.

| SUSS MicroOptics has relaunched its web shop. It has been reorganized according to microlens use making it easier for customers to
find what they need. We have added new silicon arrays for datacom /telecom applications and a changing selection of “Limited Batch Products”, which offer users
the chance to try out arrays with parameters not available as part of our standard stock. |

DLR Equips New Quantum Technology Cleanroom
With MA6 Gen4 And SB6 Gen2 |
|
|
|
|
| Germany’s Research Center for Aeronautics and Space (DLR), funded by government, is active in research and development in the field of aeronautics,
space, energy, transport, security and digitalization. With more than 30 institutes distributed throughout Germany and about 9000 employees, it has a remarkable
impact on national scientific work. |
|
|
|
|
After more than two years of sales phase for a bundle package of MA6 and SB6 the DLR has finally started a public tender solely for a Mask Aligner in 2020. The winner of this
project will also be the selected supplier for the substrate bonder in the nearer future.
A head-to-head race with EVG was the outcome, but Covid-19 did not allow a
tool demonstration to convince DLR in terms of process and tool quality. However, thanks to the long term trustful relationship and good performance of reference tools at the
local university, we could convince DLR with strong unique selling points. It turned out, that the intensive USP discussions were a decisive factor in this close race, because
our competitor has strategically shifted the expensive bond-alignment software from the mask aligner to the bonder quotation to achieve a much lower list price for this mask
aligner tender.
With this successful project, we hope to start a growing technological partnership with this promising customer.
