What is Racial Stereotyping in Video Games doing to the Children who Play the Games?
What is Racial Stereotyping?
Racial stereotyping in video games is using exaggerated and inaccurate images or depictions of certain groups of people in video games. An example of this could be a video game that has thiefs in it but all they only show these thieves as African American people.
How is it affecting the Children?
This type of racial stereotyping in widespread and popular video games sends a false image of many different groups that can lead to children addicted to these games having a prejudice against people of color in real life.
