SCSL Awards Research Report

Shot Creator Society League — Season 2026 Awards Analysis
MVP | DPOY | All-SCSL Teams | Free Agent Signing of the Year
Stats Source: mystatsonline.com (League ID 76214)  |  Date of Research: May 11, 2026
Correction Notice: Deon, Overtime (Spartans) has been identified as the same player as Sunny D, who was drafted by TWall628/Bullets. As a drafted player, Deon, Overtime is ineligible for Free Agent Signing of the Year. This does not affect his MVP or All-SCSL eligibility. The FA Signing of the Year award has been updated accordingly.
Draft Note: Several player names appear twice on the draft list across different managers. Per league rules, a player listed a second time was not actually drafted by that second team — only the first listing counts as their draft. Duplicates identified: BanditontheMoon (drafted Flavaunit only), SarcasmJxsus (drafted TWall628 only), Jinx (drafted Flavaunit only).

Key Findings: Deon, Overtime (a/k/a Sunny D, Spartans/Bullets) is the league MVP — 31.3 PPG / 12.9 APG over 12 games with 97% 2P% / 66% 3P% and a league-best 98.64 TS%. Kid, Finesse leads the league in total steals (34) and STL/G (3.1) on the 9-4 Belt Boyz. Because Deon Overtime is a drafted player (Sunny D, TWall628/Bullets), he is ineligible for FA Signing of the Year. Vict, Dawn (Stingers) wins FA Signing of the Year: 30.1 PPG / 78% FG% / 100% FT% in 8 games as a confirmed undrafted free agent on the conference-best 10-3 Stingers.

2. Methodology

Data collected from the official SCSL stats site (mystatsonline.com, League ID 76214) in May 2026, including full W-L standings, all 65 player stat lines (GP, PTS/G, AST/G, STL/G, BLK/G, REB/G, FG%, 2P%, 3P%, FT%, TS%, AST/TO, PF), league leaders in all categories, and all 8 team rosters.

Free Agent Exclusion: Players were cross-referenced against all six draft lists. All drafted players are ineligible for FA Signing of the Year regardless of which team they currently play for. All Pistols players are ineligible regardless of draft status because the Pistols entered the league as an outside team. Where a player name appears twice across two different managers' draft lists, only the first listing is treated as a valid draft; the second is considered a listing error and that player is still ineligible (drafted by the first manager). Duplicates confirmed: BanditontheMoon (Flavaunit), SarcasmJxsus (TWall628), Jinx (Flavaunit).

Post-research correction: Deon, Overtime (Spartans) was identified as the same person as Sunny D, drafted by TWall628/Bullets, and is therefore ineligible for FA Signing of the Year. His MVP and All-SCSL selections are unaffected.

Limitations: No position data on the stats site. No sortable box scores or game logs. Head-to-head records not available as a dedicated report. True Shooting % may be calculated differently by the site for some players. Players under 4 GP given reduced weight in award consideration.

3. League MVP

Greens, HmuBB929.610.169%77%6.775%89.55%9-4

Winner — Deon, Overtime: The most complete statistical season in the league. Deon leads all players in total points (376), assists (155), and 3-pointers made per game (8.3). His 97% 2-point percentage is second in the league (behind DMoneyy who only played 3 games), and his 98.64 True Shooting % is the best among any player with meaningful games played. Over 12 games he averaged 31.3 PPG and 12.9 APG — elite scoring AND elite playmaking in the same season. While Spartans finished 7-6 (not the top seed), Deon was the singular engine of that offense. The team context knock is noted but does not override the production margin.

Runner-Up 1: Guardcody, Codak (Cloud9) — 32.3 PPG / 12.9 APG / 71% FG% / 95% FT% in 9 GP on the 9-4 Cloud9. Guardcody has comparable scoring and playmaking numbers and the team success advantage, but 9 GP vs. Deon's 12 GP is a significant availability gap. He did not play 4 of Cloud9's 13 games.
Runner-Up 2: Vict, Dawn (Stingers) — 30.1 PPG / 6.8 APG / 78% FG% / 100% FT% on the league-best 10-3 Stingers. Dawn's team success is the strongest of any MVP candidate, and his efficiency is elite (78% FG, 92.15 TS%). He earns the runner-up nod on team context, but 8 GP and lower assist totals leave him behind the top two.

4. Defensive Player of the Year

WINNERKid, Finesse — Belt Boyz (BB)  |  9-4
PlayerTeamGPSTLSTL/GBLKBLK/GPFAST/TOFG%Team W-L
Kid, FinesseBB11343.100.0283.477%9-4
Greens, HmuBB9323.600.084.669%9-4
ThePants, LanceSTS9121.491.037.074%10-3
Takeee, OneeeCLD10242.400.0215.070%9-4

Winner — Kid, Finesse: Kid leads the league in total steals (34) over 11 games and ranks 2nd in steals per game (3.1). More importantly, he plays 11 of Belt Boyz' 13 games — full availability — on a 9-4 team that shares the Iso Conference's second seed. His 77% FG% shows he is not simply a specialist; he contributes offensively as well. The foul total (28 PF) is high but reflects aggressive, physical defense. His combination of elite steal volume, availability, and winning team context makes him the clear DPOY.

Runner-Up 1: Greens, Hmu (Belt Boyz) — 32 STL / 3.6 STL/G (league leader per game) over 9 games. Greens actually leads the league in steals per game and is the most disruptive defender when on the floor. The gap between Greens and Kid Finesse is his availability: 9 GP vs. 11 GP. Kid Finesse accumulates more total steals over more games and is the more durable defensive anchor.
Runner-Up 2: ThePants, Lance (Stingers) — The strongest blocks argument in the league: 9 BLK (tied 4th overall) and 1.0 BLK/G (5th in league), combined with a 7.0 AST/TO ratio showing exceptional ball security. Plays on the best team in the league (10-3 Stingers). Lance brings a different defensive dimension (rim protection + discipline) that neither Belt Boyz finalist provides, making him a legitimate third-place DPOY candidate.

5. All-SCSL Teams (Positionless)

All-SCSL Teams are positionless and selected on overall production, efficiency, availability, and winning impact.

All-SCSL First Team

Greens, HmuBB929.610.169%6.789.55%9-4
Xottic, iLxveBB1129.85.173%6.596.52%9-4

The First Team is defined by the five best all-around seasons in the league. Deon Overtime and Guardcody Codak anchor it with elite scoring-plus-playmaking seasons. Vict Dawn earns his spot on the strength of 78% FG% and the best team record in the league. Greens Hmu brings 29.6 PPG and 10.1 APG with elite steal numbers as a two-way force. Xottic iLxve rounds out the five with 29.8 PPG over 11 games at 73% FG% — the most available high-volume scorer on the 9-4 Belt Boyz.

All-SCSL Second Team

Jared, PistolPIS1321.92.675%0.692.48%7-6
Bandit, IcedOutPIS731.72.374%0.985.78%7-6

Jay Dolla Signz and Beasley Spark are the best two-way contributors on WWH, each delivering 20+ PPG with strong assist and efficiency numbers. Kid Finesse earns a Second Team spot as the league's best defender with 34 steals on a winning team. Jared Pistol leads the league in games played (13/13) with consistent 21.9 PPG production. Bandit IcedOut's 31.7 PPG in 7 games is elite but availability (7 of 13 games) limits him to the second team.

6. Free Agent Signing of the Year

Drafted players and all Pistols players are ineligible. Only undrafted players added to existing SCSL rosters qualify.

PlayerTeamGPPTS/GAST/GFG%FT%TS%Eligible
Vict, DawnSTS830.16.878%100%92.15%YES

Deon, OvertimeSPA1231.312.971%93%98.64%NO — Drafted (Sunny D, TWall628)

Winner — Vict, Dawn: The most impactful undrafted addition in the league. On a team that finished 10-3 — the best record in the SCSL — Dawn delivered 30.1 PPG, 6.8 APG, 78% FG%, and 100% FT% over 8 games. No undrafted player in the league comes close to that scoring and efficiency combination. He joins a winning Stingers team and immediately becomes their best scorer, operating at an elite level while the team around him excels defensively.

Runner-Up 1: TheBamily, Ghostof (Stingers) — 18.1 PPG / 4.6 APG / 74% FG% / 7.6 REB/G in 7 GP on the 10-3 Stingers. A complete two-way contributor who quietly anchors the Stingers' interior. His 5.3 AST/TO ratio signals elite decision-making, and his rebounding (7.6 REB/G) is among the best on the roster.
Runner-Up 2: Beasley, Spark (World Wide Hoopers) — 26.1 PPG / 6.1 APG / 66% FG% / 100% FT% in 8 GP. Strong scoring output on a 6-7 WWH squad. Beasley is the best undrafted addition outside the Stingers. The team context (below .500) and lower efficiency relative to Dawn keep him at the runner-up slot.
