Kubo and the Two Strings

The movie is about a young boy who was hiding from his grandfather who wanted to steal his other eye. The boy was told to never go outside after dark in fear that his two aunts would come after him to bring him to his grandfather. One day he was accidently out after dark, and the aunts came after him, under protection from his mother, she was able to teleport him to a safer place, where he had to go through battles to fight to go back and save his mother. The movie ends with the boy meeting his grandfather, winning the fight, and restoring peace to his town.

I enjoy this movie because of the amazing stop motion, and the storyline. I find it interesting that evn though the kid and the grandfather were on bad terms, when the kid beat him, he made sure that the grandfather found a home to stay in instead of teaching kids that if someone does wrong they deserve death with no mercy. The plot covers topics along family problems, and living in a home that stands out to other people. Movies like this played a big part in my personality at a young child and still do today.
