The digital divide is the unequal access to technology and the internet. In the 21st century people without access to new technology are at a disadvantage because they it is more difficult for them to communicate, learn, and do other tasks that those with internet take for granted.
YOU can help reduce the digital divide by donating old electronics. You can also donate to people in need to help them gain access to WiFi and Cellular. You can also encourage those without computers to consider low cost options such as a Raspberry Pi.
