The quiet rules behind it

The saving is stated once, in dollars. No percentage theater, no "was $499" anchor games - the real prices are right there above it.

It never expires. A bundle price that expires is a sale in a trench coat. This is just the price of the pair, every day.

Either piece alone is fine. The bundle is an offer, never the default - the single-piece buttons stay exactly where they were.

Returns stay simple. [Return one piece and keep the other at full price / return the pair together] - Jack sets this.

Honest note: design preview. The pieces and their individual prices are real ($96 + $78 = $174); the saving amount is bracketed because it is Jack's pricing decision, and the return rule is his to set. The math is shown transparently - that is the point of the design.
