How to play

1. One player is the Guesser and looks away.
2. Everyone else draws the secret prompt on one shared canvas, taking turns (8 seconds each, 12 if only two artists).
3. The Guesser studies the finished picture and types a guess.
4. Correct: Guesser +3, each artist +2. Everyone gets a turn guessing.

🕵️ Impostor mode: everyone sees the secret word except the impostor. Give one short clue each, discuss, then vote. A caught impostor gets one last guess at the word. ⚡ Guess in the first half of the timer for +1. The host can change timers, rounds, hard words and twists in the lobby. Can't draw? Use simple shapes (circles, triangles, lines) and follow the emoji next to the word. Keys: B / E / 1–8 / Ctrl+Z

Who we are

BLUFF is a free online drawing and word game that is also used by teachers and students in classrooms. Questions? Email [email protected] or call +1 720 819 0847.

What we collect

• The display name you type, and your chosen avatar and items.
• If you sign in: your email address and account ID (Google, Apple or email). Guests get a random anonymous ID.
• Game activity: rooms you join, drawings, guesses, chat messages, scores, B Coins and items.
• School features: teacher email and lessons; student display names and scores for a class code.
• Text you type into the Translator or lessons may be sent to a translation service (MyMemory) to get a result.
• If you agree, usage data and cookies from a Google tag (Google Ads / analytics).

How we use it

To run the game, save your progress, show class scores to teachers, keep BLUFF safe and improve it. We do not sell your personal information.

Who can see it

Other players in your room can see your name, drawings and messages. A teacher can see the names and scores of students who play their class code. Our service providers (Google Firebase for accounts, database and hosting; Google for analytics; MyMemory for translation) process data for us.

Children and students

BLUFF is for general audiences and classrooms. Children under 13 should use it only with a parent’s or teacher’s permission. Schools and teachers are responsible for getting any permission they need. Please never type your full name, address, phone number or other private details into names, drawings or chat. To have a child’s data deleted, contact us.

Your choices

You can ask to see or delete your data by contacting us. You can turn off sounds and voices in the menu, and you can clear data stored on your device by clearing your browser storage.

Rules of play and terms

Be kind. No bullying, hate, adult content or personal information. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules. BLUFF is provided “as is”, with no promise that it will always work or be error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from using BLUFF, including lost B Coins or scores. B Coins have no cash value. Teachers are responsible for how they use BLUFF with their students.

Changes

We may update this page. Using BLUFF after a change means you accept it.
