  1. 2Eight 0s in 3rd Year, and no warning. Any 3rd Year mark under 30 has to be resat.
  2. 1"Bruv, you got a 2:1" is wrong. With these marks they can't graduate until they've resat.
  3. 3"2:1 secured…" is wrong too. Passed resits count as 40 and aren't fails any more, so this student is actually on for a First.

  1. 2Red line under 3rd Year: "8 marks under 30: resits needed".
  2. 1"Bruv, you'll get a First" + red pill "As long as you pass your resits". Grey line: "3rd Year: marks under 30 have to be resat. A passed resit counts as 40." The aggregate and counts are worked out with the resits at 40 (920, 0 fails).
  3. 3First class: "Pass your resits. They count as 40, which gives you a First."
  4. 42:1: "Covered: pass your resits and you get a First."

The rules behind it (LSE LLB scheme, 2024)

1 or 2 fails, each 30+: no resit. You graduate on time, but two fails drop you one class (paras 4, 9). Works as it does today.

Any mark under 30, or 3+ fails: resit them, usually in August (paras 10.1, 10.2). Each passed resit counts as 40, so they're no longer fails and there's no class drop. Fail the resits and it's another year; after 3 attempts, no degree (para 11).
