Because it was so strongly forbidden, Ismene was unwilling to violate or go beyond the King's laws when Antigone first asked for her help in burying their brother leading to a very QUARRELSOME relationship between the sisters.

Creon thinks many of the fortune-tellers are unbalanced because they are old and TREMBLING, but Teiresias proves to always be right.
